Bad Mounting Destroys Walls and Risks Safety

Last month we got a call from a guy in JLT whose 55-inch TV had pulled halfway out of the wall. The bracket was still attached to the TV, but the plastic wall plugs had snapped clean off in the concrete. The drywall behind was cracked in a spiderweb pattern. He had hired a handyman who used the same anchors he would use in Europe — problem is, Dubai's walls are mostly reinforced concrete, gypsum board, or hollow block. None of those respond well to standard plastic plugs.

We have seen mirrors crash down because the wire frayed against a sharp hook edge. We have seen curtain rods pull out of gypsum because the anchors were rated for 5kg and the heavy blackout curtains weighed 15kg. We have seen gallery walls where every frame was crooked because someone eyeballed it instead of using a level. The fix is never just "hang it again" — it is patching holes, repairing cracks, and sometimes relocating to undamaged wall material. Since 2008, we have learned which anchors work in which walls, which drill bits cut Dubai concrete without burning out, and how to calculate load ratings so nothing falls. That is the difference between someone who hangs things and someone who mounts them properly.

What We Mount

These are the jobs we handle across Dubai every day. Each one needs different hardware, different anchors, and a different approach depending on your wall type.

Picture and Artwork Mounting

Gallery walls, single large pieces, or heavy framed artwork. We figure out the wall material first — concrete needs expansion anchors, gypsum needs toggle bolts — then mark positions with a laser level so everything lines up perfectly. No crooked frames, no guesswork.

Curtain and Drapery Mounting

Standard rods, bay window tracks, or motorized systems. We measure twice, drill once, and make sure the rod can handle the full weight of your curtains — especially blackout drapes that weigh significantly more than sheers. Positioned at the right height for visual impact.

TV and Monitor Mounting

Full-motion, tilting, or fixed brackets. We locate studs or use concrete anchors rated for your TV's weight plus the dynamic force of pulling it out on an articulating arm. We handle cable management too — no dangling wires behind your screen.

Mirror Mounting

Wall mirrors, bathroom mirrors, or heavy decorative pieces. We use the right anchors for the weight and wall type — never just picture wire on a small hook. Properly leveled, properly secured, and safe.

Gym Equipment Mounting

Punching bags, pull-up bars, suspension trainers. We install into ceiling joists or wall studs with reinforced hardware rated for dynamic impact forces. We test the mount before we leave — because a falling punching bag is not just embarrassing, it is dangerous.

Whiteboard and Office Mounting

Magnetic boards, glass boards, or heavy presentation boards. Installed at the right height for standing or seated use, properly leveled, and securely attached with hardware rated for the board's weight on your specific wall type.

Why Dubai Residents Call Us for Mounting

We mount everything from small picture frames to heavy commercial whiteboards in homes and offices across Dubai every day. Here is what keeps our phone busy.

01

We Know Dubai's Walls

Reinforced concrete, gypsum board, hollow block, drywall — we have worked on all of them. We know which drill bits cut Dubai concrete without burning out, which anchors hold in gypsum without pulling loose, and which fasteners work in hollow block. We do not guess. We know.

02

We Show Up On Time

You book a slot, we arrive in that slot. Our guys bring all the tools, all the anchors, and all the hardware needed for your specific job. We lay down mats, protect your floors and furniture, and clean up before we leave. No dust, no debris, no excuses.

03

We Do Not One-Size-Fit-All

A 5kg picture frame and a 35kg TV need completely different approaches. We look at what you are mounting, what your wall is made of, and how the item will be used — then we pick the right hardware and technique. Every job gets its own plan.

04

Honest Per-Job Pricing

Starting from 150 AED for standard mounting jobs. We quote based on the item type, weight, wall material, and complexity. No hidden charges for "extra difficult" walls or surprise hardware costs. What we quote is what you pay. Since 2008, that has been our rule.

Mounting Services Rates

Prices depend on what you are mounting, how heavy it is, what your wall is made of, and how complex the job gets. Here are our starting points — we quote the exact price before we start any work.

How pricing works: The starting price covers a standard installation on a concrete or gypsum wall with basic hardware included. If your wall requires specialized anchors — like hollow block or stone — or if the item needs a heavy-duty bracket not included in the starting price, we will tell you the exact cost before we drill a single hole. We have been doing this since 2008, and we do not believe in surprise charges.

How We Mount Your Items Properly

Mounting is not just drilling a hole and hanging something. It is understanding what your wall is made of, calculating how much weight the mount needs to hold, picking hardware that actually works for that combination, and installing it so it stays put. Here is what we do on every job.

1

Check the Wall First

We inspect the mounting spot, figure out if the wall is concrete, gypsum, hollow block, or drywall, and locate any studs or solid sections. We also check for hidden pipes or electrical lines before we drill. Then we discuss where you want it, how high, and what angle — so there are no surprises.

2

Pick the Right Hardware

Concrete gets expansion anchors or concrete screws. Gypsum gets toggle bolts that spread the load. Hollow block gets anchors that expand behind the face so they cannot pull out. We match the hardware to the wall material and the item weight — including a safety margin for dynamic forces like pulling a TV arm or slamming a door near a mirror.

3

Drill and Install With Precision

We mark exact positions with a laser level, drill with the correct bit for the wall material, insert anchors properly seated at the right depth, and torque all fasteners to spec. We check level twice — once after mounting the bracket, once after hanging the item. No eyeballing. No "close enough."

4

Test, Adjust, and Clean Up

We apply pressure to verify the mount is solid, check that moving parts — like TV brackets or curtain rods — operate smoothly, and make sure cables are managed neatly. Then we clean the area, pack up our tools, and leave your space exactly as we found it. Minus the crooked picture frame.

Why DIY Mounting Often Goes Wrong

A hammer, a nail, and a level from the hardware store seem like all you need. But Dubai's walls are not like walls elsewhere — mostly reinforced concrete, gypsum board, or hollow block. The anchors that work in European drywall shatter in our concrete. The hooks rated for 5kg pull straight out of gypsum when a 15kg mirror hangs on them. Here is what we fix after DIY attempts go south.

Wrong Hardware for the Wall

Dubai's walls are concrete, gypsum, or hollow block — not the drywall standard hardware is designed for. Plastic wall plugs shatter in concrete. Lightweight anchors pull out of gypsum. Toggle bolts spin endlessly in hollow block. We bring the right anchors, drill bits, and fasteners for your specific wall material.

Underestimated Weight and Forces

A TV mount rated for 25kg static weight can fail under the dynamic force of pulling the screen out on an articulating arm. A mirror on picture wire can rip loose when a door slam creates vibration. We calculate both static and dynamic loads and install into structural points with proper safety margins.

Crooked, Too High, or Poorly Spaced

A picture hung 2mm off-level is visibly crooked. A TV mounted too high causes neck strain. A curtain rod mounted too narrow makes the window look smaller. Gallery walls with inconsistent spacing look chaotic. We use laser levels and measuring tools to get alignment and positioning right.

Wall Damage From Failed Attempts

Every failed attempt leaves a hole, a crack, or a damaged anchor point. Multiple attempts in the same area weaken the wall, making the next try even harder. We get it right the first time — proper technique, correct hardware, no unnecessary holes or scars in your wall.

Mounting Services Questions

Here is what homeowners and businesses in Dubai usually ask before booking.

Pretty much anything that goes on a wall. Picture frames and artwork of all sizes, mirrors, TVs and monitors with any bracket type, curtain rods and tracks, whiteboards and presentation boards, punching bags and gym equipment, shelves and storage units, and decorative items like wall sculptures or clocks. Each item needs different hardware and a different approach based on weight and wall material. We figure that out when we arrive — we do not just show up with a bag of generic screws.
Yes. Dubai's properties have reinforced concrete walls in high-rises, gypsum board partitions in offices, hollow block in villas, and occasionally brick or stone feature walls. Each needs a completely different approach. Concrete needs hammer drills with masonry bits and expansion anchors. Gypsum needs toggle bolts that spread the load across the board. Hollow block needs anchors that expand behind the face so they cannot pull out. We assess your wall material during the site visit and bring the right tools and hardware for that specific wall type.
We use a laser level to mark exact positions before drilling. We pick hardware rated for at least double the item's static weight to handle dynamic forces. We install into structural points — studs for drywall, solid masonry for concrete, reinforced sections for gypsum. We drill with the correct bit size, seat anchors fully, and torque all fasteners to spec. Then we check level again after mounting the item and apply pressure to test stability. If it moves, we fix it before we leave. No "good enough" — it is either solid or it is not.
No — we bring everything. Drill bits, wall anchors, screws, brackets, and specialized fasteners for your specific wall material and item weight. The hardware we use is professional-grade, rated for the actual load, and often stronger than what you find at retail stores. If you already bought a TV bracket, we can work with it — but we will check whether it is rated for your TV weight and wall type. If the manufacturer hardware is not adequate, we will tell you and upgrade it. Our goal is the mount stays solid, not that we use what came in the box.
Yes, and it usually saves you money. A gallery wall of pictures, TVs in multiple rooms, mirrors and shelves throughout the apartment — we can handle it all in one appointment. We plan the sequence to work efficiently, like drilling all concrete holes while the hammer drill is out, then moving to lighter items. When booking, tell us the number and types of items so we allocate enough time and bring all necessary hardware. We also coordinate layouts for gallery walls and multi-item arrangements so everything looks cohesive.
Yes. We patch holes from failed anchors, fill cracks around damaged points, and sand smooth to blend with the surrounding wall. For larger damage or multiple failed attempts in one area, we may need to cut out the damaged section and install a proper drywall patch with backing support. We assess whether the wall can support a new mount in the same spot or if we need to shift slightly to fresh, undamaged material. We will tell you honestly what the wall condition means for your mounting options — no point installing into compromised material just to have it fail again.
