A framed photo with glass weighs more than you think. We use picture hooks rated for the actual weight, not the cheapest option at the hardware store. For drywall, we find studs or use toggle bolts. For concrete, we drill with masonry bits and use expansion anchors. We always use a laser level, never a bubble level taped to a ruler.
Canvas & Artwork
Canvases sag. It is what they do. We use D-rings and braided wire for pieces under 10 kilograms. For heavier canvases, we install French cleats, which distribute weight evenly and keep the piece flush against the wall. We never use sawtooth hangers on anything larger than 30x40 cm, they pull out.
Mirrors & Glass
Heavy mirrors are dangerous. A 15-kilogram mirror falling from chest height can shatter and cause serious injury. We use J-brackets or Z-clips for mirrors under 20 kilograms. For larger mirrors, we install a French cleat system anchored to at least two wall studs. We also use safety backing film on request.
Shadow Boxes & Shelves
Shadow boxes are deep and heavy. A standard shadow box with memorabilia can weigh 8 to 12 kilograms. We use toggle bolts for drywall or masonry anchors for concrete. Gallery Walls

Hardware Selection
Based on weight and wall type, we select the correct hooks, anchors, D-rings, wire, or French cleats. A 2-kg print gets a picture hook. A 15-kg mirror gets a French cleat anchored to two studs. We never use the hardware that came with the frame, it is usually undersized.
Precision Mounting
